The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit issued a boil water advisory for the town of Essex.
Where in Essex?
This advisory is in effect for:
- County Road 12, from the Arner Townline (County Road 23) west to the intersection of the Chrysler Canada Greenway,
- South Malden from the Arner Townline to Walker Road.
Why?
The boil advisory usually issued when the health unit finds higher levels of germs in water and residents will be advised to use bottled water or boil their water for at least 1 minute before using for drinking, food preparation, brushing and dishwashing. You can still use this water for handwashing, laundry, showering and bathing.
